All logos are difficult.
When most people look at logos they look and say “yeah its a logo – so what?”
When a designer looks at a logo they analyse it, they just look at it differently to others.
We wanted to have a very strong logo to convey a (hopefully) interesting and engaging site. It really does matter to us what the logo looks like. We were definitely not going down the route of something on the back of a napkin will do.
Denis had to summon up a great logo for dexmo, but it was a long process, (made longer by his client).
He started the actual design process by doing some rough drawings and showing them to us.
(I was once told by an author that at least starting your work with a pen and paper was better as it gives you a more physical connection to the process.)
But, I think Denis just likes drawing !
